about the show
As the campers make their way into the room and are seated in front of our Vegas-like backdrop the excitement grows as fun and mysterious music plays through our professional Bose® sound system. When the show starts we get everyone involved during our warm-up trick before selecting a volunteer and bringing them up on stage as our confidant and launch into a super-funny routine that gets all the kids laughing right off the bat. Then we unveil a series of jaw-dropping tricks and illusions that wow the audience—and not just the children, but the grown-ups as well.
One standout moment of our set is when a familiar character from our show disappears and then re-appears. We can’t see him, but the kids can. They shout and scream, but every time we look, he disappears again! The kids always go wild for this, as well as for the hilarious cast of cartoon characters that routinely accompany our performances.
After the show, all of the kids line up to receive their very own magical present, a full color pamphlet that teaches campers step-by-step how to create and perform magic tricks all on their own with everyday household items.
Many camp directors have their counselors break into groups after the show to craft these tricks and then perform them for each other during a small talent show. This helps make the day even more unforgettable and leaves campers with great memories of an awesome celebration.
Our show works to involve every camper, making them the true stars of the show. We incorporate audience members into many of our tricks and they love it because it makes them feel special. Kids rave about the part when we draw a cartoon caricature of one of their fellow campers on a dry erase board and then magically bring it to life. The drawing talks with the audience, cracks jokes, and then does a trick all on its own! And the kids absolutely love it because it’s a picture of one of their friends that comes to life.
Our finale is the most funny and memorable part of the show—you’ll definitely want to have your camera ready for this one...
